🧪 Ingredients:

Yields about 6-8 bars of soap.

Coconut oil (100%): 500 grams (for a pure coconut oil soap)
Lye (sodium hydroxide): 95 grams
Distilled water: 190 grams
Optional: essential oils (20–30 grams), natural colorants (clays, herbs), or exfoliants (oatmeal, coffee grounds)

Note: This is a 20% superfat recipe, which reduces the harshness of 100% coconut oil soap and makes it suitable for skin.

Digital kitchen scale
Safety goggles and gloves
Stainless steel or heavy plastic mixing bowl

Stick blender
Soap mold

Stir in any essential oils, colorants, or additives at light trace.

6. Pour into Mold

Pour the soap mixture into your mold.
Tap the mold to remove air bubbles.

7. Cure and Cut

Cover and insulate for 24–48 hours.
Unmold and cut into bars.
Cure for 4–6 weeks in a cool, dry place to allow saponification to complete and water to evaporate.
